Buying
How long do the extensions last?
If properly taken care of, they can last anywhere from 6-12 months. If not properly taken care of, the hair extensions will typically last anywhere from 4-6 months.
What kind of maintenance is involved?
No matter how many rows you have we recommend moving them up every 6-8 weeks.
Some may be able to go longer. This is dependent on care, hair type, how fast your hair grows and so on.
Cost maintenance depends on your hair extension stylist.
Does the hair extensions fade like natural hair?
Yes. Build up and not getting all your product out will fade and shorten the life of the hair.
Salt water and chlorine will also shorten the life of the hair.
Chlorine will turn the hair extensions green and some suncreens will turn the hair pink.
What are your best selling hair extension colors?
What lengths do the hair extensions come in?
20, 22 and 24 inch depending on the collection.
Sleeping
Can I go to bed with my hair wet?
No! We recommend drying your hair so that you are not keeping moisture in between your wefts and possibly causing mold.
Can I sleep with my hair down or do I have to braid or wear it up while sleeping?
We recommend sleeping on a silk pillowcase with your hair in a loose braid or a low pony.
Washing
Can I blow dry my extensions?
Yes, always use a heat protectant and medium heat.
Can I wear my hair in a bun or high ponytail?
Yes, but we don't recommend it until after the first week or two because you don't want tension on your hair.
Can sunscreen affect my hair extensions?
Yes, sunscreen can turn the extension pink. Please be using a mineral sunscreen such as SunBum products.
How often do I need to wash my hair with extensions?
At the least, 2 times a week. We don't want build up in the extension because it can fade the color and break the ends of the hair off.
Should I wash my hair before I come in for my move up?
Yes, clean/dry hair is best for move up appointments.
What kind of shampoo/conditioner should I use?
Paraben and Sulfate free.
Can I use dry shampoo on my extensions?
Yes. We recommend one that doesn't clog your follicle.
Can I cut my hair extensions?
At home? NO!
We will trim your extension over time to keep them healthy.
They are real hair so they do fade/get split ends.
